1. Data mining research:
- PhD or Master Degree majored in computer science or related.
- Passion and self-motivation for innovative and deep research, Capability to learn quickly and explore in new area independently.
- Research experience on SAS, R and Hadoop
- Strong knowledge in data mining and statistical model building
- Experience on software architecture design and development by using C/
C++/Python
2. Kernel development:
- Master is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++;
- Good knowledge about algorithms and data structures;
- Good knowledge about database system
- Good knowledge about Linux
- Programming or research experiences in data mining and statistics is a plus;
3. Solution development:
- Master is preferred.
- Strong programming skills in Java/.Net/SQL;

Title: Building High Performance Analytics Applications on SAP HANA Database
Abstract: In this talk, I will give an overview of architectural design of SAP HANA Database and its capability in supporting high performance
predictive / analytics applications. I will then go through selected
analytics applications being built on top of HANA as examples how new
applications are designed and engineered to take advantages of such powerful in-memory computing capability. I will also give few live demos of new
applications on SAP HANA.
Bio
=============
Dr. Wen-Syan Li received his Ph.D in Computer Science from Northwestern
University (USA). He also holds an MBA degree in Finance. He is currently
Director of SAP TIP D&NA (Design & New Applications) Data Management in
China. Before joining SAP, he was with IBM Almaden Research Center (USA)
conducting research in distributed information systems and grid computing.
He received an IBM Research Division Award for leading a successful "Smart
Database" project with Taikang Life, China in 2006-2007.
He was an area leader of information virtualization in 2006-2007 for IBM
Grid Computing Institute. Before joining IBM Research, he was with NEC
Research and NEC Venture Development Center (USA) where he invented and
developed NEC's CachePortal web acceleration technology for high performance
e-commerce applications. CachePortal was the winner of the 2004 Best of
CeBIT America Award in enterprise software and deployed globally throughout
MARSYS's worldwide data centers. Before joining NEC USA, he was on faculty
of Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Li has published more than 100
journal articles and conference papers in various areas as well as holds 24
granted US patents.
